PLC Fans and Friends,
Both Mereness and myself have been asked countless times over the last few weeks about our decision to leave Loonatix Productions. I thought rather than having to explain it to everyone, I could do it here. Before I start, I would like to make it clear to everyone that the decision we made was a business decision, not a personal one. Leaving the label had nothing to do with the people on Loonatix, but rather the way the business was run. Through the years we've always had differing ideas about the way we wanted things to be, but recently it had become too much of a burden. To be honest, it stopped being fun and I've never let myself forget the reason we started making music in the first place: because we love it. To put it simply, Mereness and I decided that PLC and Loonatix had different ideas of what we wanted to accomplish. It was the right decision at the right time for us and we feel like we've taken a positive step towards the goals that we've set for ourselves as artists and people. We have some great plans in place for the rest of 2008 and into 2009 and we have some great people working with us who are as dedicated to the cause as we are. Look for some brand new music in the coming months as well as a whole new line of PLC merchandise. We'll also throw in a few surprises along the way. So stay tuned, come out to shows, and be sure to pick up Tunnel Runners when it drops if you want some much needed new PLC flavor. In the end, even though we've gone our separate ways, PLC supports Loonatix in all of their endeavors, both personally and professionally. We wish nothing but the best for them, and we hope you do as well. PLC and Ruthless will always be friends, even if we no longer share a label, and that is the truth.
One last thing: Thanks to everyone who came out to support PLC and Rehab on Monday night, it was one of my proudest moments as a musician and we couldn't have done it without every person in that building.
Peace,
DD.

We've been busy working on the new site, we're moving over to a new content managing system, so it's taking a while to work out all the bugs. Expect a much nicer PLCHYPEHOP.COM in the future though once we master things.
Lots of shows coming up in the next couple of weeks, including a rare Wisconsin show in Superior this coming Friday.

You may have noticed flyers on websites, myspaces, and at the Gathering promoting a PLC show with Potluck and several other artists this coming Friday, August 24th at the Hayloft in Mt. Clemens, MI. Do to factors beyond our control PLC will not be making an appearance at this show. We apologize to anyone looking forward to a PLC appearance at the show. We do encourage you to go out and check out a great show featuring Potluck, Smokehouse Junkiez, T Trash, and SAPO. The show is all ages, starts at 5pm, and you can get in for $15…not a bad deal at all, so get out there and check out all those great acts, for a great price.
On a more positive note, we’re going to do our best to get back out to the Michigan/Greater Detroit area in the near future. You guys are definitely some of our most hard core fans, and it’s always a pleasure to play shows for ya’ll. We wish we could have made this situation work, but have no fear; we’ll definitely be back in the area as soon as possible.

What a weekend. Things kicked off great for Loonatix on Thursday night with PLC ripping up the Bomb House with the headlining spot. For those of you that missed the performance, you can see the entire thing right here:
Big props to our buddy Jay for getting that footage right from the front row. Thanks much man, we owe you one.
Over the weekend you could find Loonatix artists popping up around the Gathering at Club Chaos, and on stage with our homie ill e. gal. Sunday Ruthless got up on the Second Stage and killed it.
Overall this year it was another great Gathering. It was PLC's third year in a row playing the event, and every year it gets better. We'd like to send a special thank you out to everyone at Psychopathic, espicially Nathan Extra, who helped out when our van broke down Monday morning.
Now, moving on from the Gathering...PLC isn't even close to finished for this year. So far we've brought you Hype Hop, but we've definitely got more up our sleeves. Right now there are TWO thats right TWO more PLC projects on the table. What they are I can't say just yet, but I think you'll definitely be interested in both of them.
For our friends out on the East Coast we'll be making the trip out to Hartford, CT September 2nd to rock the Webster with Ruthless. Make sure to check that out if you live in the area.
Keep your eye on the site for the new site redesign coming, and more shows. Until next time, Peace.

Well, unless you haven't been paying attention, you now know that Hype Hop has arrived. Those of you that pre-ordered the album should have had it for a few days now.
The release show was a great time, and you can see the pictures over on the message board in the photos section, so make sure to check that out.
We've still got the all ages cd release show coming this Friday, so if you're in the Twin Cities area, make sure to come out to check out the show, and pick up a copy of the album.
If you're not in the area, click the store link and pick that up today.
In other news, as you know PLC has for the third straight year been invited to play the Gathering of The Juggalos. We now know what time PLC will be playing. Thursday night, make sure to drink your red bull, get some rest, or whatever it takes to stay up late. PLC will be headlining the Bomb House at 3:00AM. It's late, but the Gathering only comes once a year, so fuck sleep!
We've got more shows in the planning stages, and more info to be dropping for you. Just because Hype Hop is out, doesn't mean the news and info is going to stop.
